meal ideas...

Hi silly_duck4, I really understand! I'am 63 and been cooking meals since I was 17,:-). Sometimes I really get tired of trying to come up with new foods, or ways to cook the same foods, then I go by what my D.H. and I want at the moment, :-). but here's what I do or at least used to, hahaha. I look at the grocery store adds and plan a meun according to what meats are on sale, that's how I saved money, :-).Then for the evening meal (supper/dinner?!?) I would fix that meat.I love to try new recipes, but "hate" it when I have to buy a "lot" of new and different seasonings, exp. if I end up not likeing the recipe! Here is a great place to find down to earth home cooking recipes. Lots of luck.

Hi, silly_duck4!  I actually created a menu system that rotates every three months.  It was time intensive at first, but once in order and going, has worked well!  (Mine was for three months; so every three months I start the menu over again.  I have a friend who does a two week menu system, so she starts over every two weeks.  I like variety, though, so two weeks wasn't long enough for  me!)  I just picked my favorite recipes and put them on a calendar.  Then I don't have to decide every day what to make -- it's already decided!

I don't know if this will help. but we just added a new "easy meal finder" to the site. Go to this page and type in a few ingredients that you have on-hand:
