Expiration Date format on the boxes.

I'm unsure if this is the correct place to post this question but here goes...

I reciently received a couple boxes of Betty Crocker from a friend.  The expiration dates are on the top of the boxes but are in a format which I am not familiar with.  The Better if used by dates are as follows:

Cheesy Scalloped skin-on potatoes: 09July04 HN 1 1923

Deluxe Potatoes Loaded au Gratin: 14MAR06 HN 2B 2325

If anyone could help bring this delimia to a resolution it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

John D.

I think the date on the first one would be July 9, 2004, and the date for the second one March 14, 2006.  The letter and numbers after the dates probably identify the location where they were packaged.

I would not use either mix because of the dates.

Hi John,  Maybe you could call the toll free number on the box.  If they can't explain that to you at least MAYBE they'll alert the company to make sure there's not a problem.  I agree with AC, I don't think I would use them either.  As a matter of fact, I would even try and get my money back from the store.  Good luck!
